Recently I am trying to use blogs to promote my business websites, almost all the blogs on which I chose to work were based on wordpress, as far as we know that WordPress is wonderful for automated posting, managing and much more, with the GPL liberal license make the WordPress the most famous and versatile blogging software of all time.

Then I found out that I probably should build blogs myself, then I can use established and fully owned blogs to advertise other websites, and I think its not a patentable idea, the existence of blog networks already says it all, the thing is that I don’t control those blogs, in addition there is no way I can post to them, its easy to understand that the price on those networks won’t be cheap.

Its a tedious job to maintain more than a few blogs, if you don’t like garbage on your blogs, to put real content on your site won’t be an easy job, you have to put in time and money to build a successful blog. Check out a couple of interesting blogs, such as this one, Essential Hand Tools, it’s name is pretty cute, and it has a lot of interesting posts, though its not a theme focused blog, there are all kinds of posts on the site. Here is another one, Ratchet and Winch Strap, this one has main theme, the content on the this site has a theme, and ranks well for quite a few keywords. I can show you a lot more sites, though I guess you get the point already. Here is one last note, in your little net you should have some loose blogs, put some random content on those blogs occasionally, take one blog as example, Trucker Driver, this will make a blog network more like naturally built blog groups.

After you successfully build a few blogs, add more blogs when you can, the old blogs will be helpful in promoting your newly built ones, this way you get your little blog network rolling. It sounds pretty simple, but to build a successful network will be much more complicated, one of the most important things is that don’t get your site dropped off index by major search engines.
